Public Programs

Feminism & Co: Art, Sex, Politics explores issues of women and gender through creative forms of pedagogy that bring together the primary sites of feminism: the university, the non-profit sector, and the art world. As opposed to a lecture series, symposium, or research sharing style, Feminism & Co. is about creating public access to critical debate surrounding feminist issues. Feminism & Co. is not just a forum for debate, however. Each program in the series employs a different creative method appropriate to the topic, combining informed discussion with performances, readings, film screenings, and other forms of creative practice.

Feminism & Co.: Art, Sex, Politics is co-directed by Elissa Auther, Associate Professor of Contemporary Art at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and Gillian Silverman, Assistant Professor of English at University of Colorado, Denver.
